How to read the map

Official information
Community reports received
No community activity to show
Official epidemiological information (dengue, by municipality of residence)
Official weather warning, extreme or severe (filled)
Official weather warning, moderate or minor (outline)
Recorded earthquake (size shows magnitude)
Dashed yellow outline = community activity across the whole state (doesn't point to any municipality)
Your WaatoSafe location (municipality or state, never an exact point)

Hatching inside a municipality = community activity in that municipality. Labels next to the state name apply to the whole state.

It never shows individual reports.
It never shows where anyone who reports is located.

There isn't enough community activity to show in this area.

This doesn't mean there are no problems or reports: WaatoSafe only shows aggregated activity when our privacy and quality requirements are met.

About the dengue information

Shows the year's confirmed cases, plus confirmed and probable cases with symptom onset in the 4 weeks ending on the data date. Counts from 1 to 4 are shown as a range to protect privacy.

Figures are by each case's municipality of residence, not necessarily where infection happened. They don't indicate cases on a street or in a neighborhood.

Preliminary figures: probable cases may be confirmed or ruled out as laboratory results arrive.

Other official sources (for example, Jalisco's Ministry of Health) may publish different figures because they use another cut-off date or definition. We show this source's figure as it publishes it.
